3rd sound preview, to the Dub Chapters venue, happening in Portugal, Lisbon, 28th March, and showcasing the Wicked and powerful Basslines from Vibronics, WebCam Hi-Fi and Weeding Dub! Humble I and Madu Messenger will be the Mic Performers rocking the turnaround in Portuguese Dub Culture!

Anticipating next week's all round Dub Chapters vol 1 highlight at ZonaReGGae show, we spin today a 1st short preview of a uplifting phone chat we had wid Steve Vibronics! Past, Present and Future of UK Dub /Steppers in the words of Steve Vibronics himself...

Vibronics, WebCam Hi-Fi and Weeding Dub powerful tunes as always in high rotation! And a couple of updates from the French Dub scene, wid a 1st advance to the one dat will surely be one of 2009 biggest releases, Worldwide Dub from The Dub Machinist!

-Roots Revival & modern reggae spinning strong all ova the session, plenty of new stuff and recoveries to John Browns Body, Internal Dread, 1 Eye, Urban Tribe Stockholm, No More Babylon, BB Seaton or Ras Iba & Upsetta Sound!

-Highlight to new releases finishes off the modern segment in Hayah style, wid the hip-hop rooted reggae fusion from Higher Bound Productions, inviting some of the great voices from Virgin Islands, in the Various Artists, New Name!

During the last decade or so, ever since the internationalization of the original roots reggae Virgin Islands movement, there have been plenty of labels and producers, bounding and connecting in order to take dis musical scene to stages and recording studios all over the World!
From the geographic closeness and constant search for innovation, the United States of America, feature in the forefront of dis cooperation’s, and the most recent one is being taken by Higher Bound Productions!

Founded by producer/musican/singer Ryan 'Ishence' Williard in 2000, Higher Bound works in a mission to spread the conscious music, awakening a positive chance in the current and future world.
Wid released works featuring newcomers and established names like Sista Kat, Biblical, Xkaliba, Jah Rubal, Ishence…it was wid 2007 release, Bless Go Roun, featuring Vaughn Benjamin from Midnite, that the California based label jumped straight to the forefront of dis movement. A great work putting together, the original hip-hop vibe from Higher Bound crew, wid the always amazing vocal and lyrical performance provided by Vaughn Benjamin!

Following that blessed release, the new compilation work “New Name”, joins some of the great names from St Croix island wid many of the crew elements from Higher Bound.
Midnite (Vaughn Benjamin), Xkaliba, Ancient King and Jah Rubal, all feature here wid two tunes, full wid messages and rastafari teachings, in the best Virgin Islands Underground style!
Ishence, Biblical, Iaahden e J Will, work together in the combination tracks “Hit All Sides” e “Good Over Evil”.
Not being possible to overlook Midnite featurings, “Come Bust I on” and the extraordinary “Endless Life”, mainly due to Vaughn Benjamin unique delivery; the various singjay style presented by Xkaliba, Jah Rubal and Ancient King, are surely also a high point, in dis well rooted and diverse work.

The riddims presented in “New Name”, are almost totally composed by Ishence, showcasing an unusual musical innovation, where the hip-hop beats, cross in, cross out and meet together in a complex revival roots reggae musical arrangement, well crafted in Virgin Islands style (wid the production features from Donny Dread and Tippy-I, providing that mystical touch) but above all, in Higher Bound crew unique style!

Ready to conquer the world wid love and positive forces, Higher Bound Records promise more musical revolution soon come!
