The Hardest, from original and versatile Predator Dub Assassins!

Created in 2001, Predator Dub Assassins are one of the most praised Roots Reggae bands in New Jersey.
Formed around Ras Timothy a.k.a. Predator One, the well trained Dub Assassins travel through various Jamaican reggae music styles, from Ska, Early-Reggae, Rub-a-Dub or Roots Reggae, always the original touch, typical in the creative and ground-breaking New Jersey underground music scene.

The Self titled debut, Predator Dub Assassins from 2005, introduced the group to legendary King Django, which instantly welcomed them to the Version City crew, releasing in 2007, the second work, The Hardest, at Stubborn Records.

There are at least 3 highlights worth of mention in The Hardest, one of the best releases from the revival north-American movement in the latest years, wid King Django’s high quality production topping the list!
Tunes like The Good You Do, Prophets & Revolutionaires, Y Mas Gan or The Emperor Strikes Back, are musically well placed in Stubborn Records tradition, and show well King Django contribution and dedication to The Hardest!

The Revival approach from Predator Dub Assassins is amazing in any of the many styles the group brings back to life, and once again Version City crew plays a big role, wid ex-members from classic New Jersey/New York bands like The Toasters, Bomb Town, Inspector 7 or Hub City Stompers, bringing in all their creativity and years of music culture into Dub Assassins sound!

The perfect scenarios for Predator One bring out all his vocal and lyrical versatility all over the 12 tunes in The Hardest!
Classic Jamaican Deejay Style, Singjay and Rub-A-Dub, as well a great dosage of tunes showing all the seventies roots & culture essence, show that Predator is a gifted singer; alongside King Django and Rocker T surely of the greatest voices from this little Big musical world that we found in New Jersey!

The Hardest displays all of this, wid highlight to tunes like Love is the Foundation, Sufferation, Sons of Negus, Marigwana or Air Force One, that places our hearth in Jamaica, to feed all the original reggae vibes, wid the a feeling and lyrical display that prove the love the Predator Dub Assassins have for Jamaican music foundations!

Despite being from 2007, The Hardest is already a classic Stubborn Records release, a label destined to surprise every time, wid class A productions and a roll of original and gifted artists. Always something new inspired by the vintage!
