Introduced at ZonaReGGae past March, through 'New Name' compilation, Higher Bound Productions are a groundbreaking crew of musicians, producers and artists from California.
Merging reggae wid a original understanding of Hip-Hop beats, is dis independent label main musical emphasis, presenting also a unique mystique through the vocal featurings, from some of the greatest names from Virgin Islands!
2007, brought dem international exposure due to the first collaboration wid Midnite, and the 'Bless Go Roun' album!

Geographically and musically located in a middle-term between Jamaica and the USA, the Virgin Islands are one of the places that contributed the most, in the last decade, for a rooted evolution of reggae music.
Right on top of that vanguard movement, we find Midnite, a major force in the roots revival movement, that also gave a all new meaning to the 'in-fashion', north-america progressive reggae scene.

Wid an incredible more than 30 releases out in the past 10 years!, Midnite's political reggae, vocal force, Vaughn Benjamin, is probably, the most enigmatic and charismatic lyrics writer from the modern times, wid the co-works constantly multiplying, always wid a high and versatile level, never falling into clichés or repetitions.

A great example of that is dis Higher Bound collaboration, 'Bless Go Roun'; another classic 'Midnite &...' titled, but only typical in the name. 13 new tunes, featuring the unmistakable Vaughn Benjamin style, touching your feelings deep, all over the innovative Higher Bound riddims, that perfectly mix the usual VI reggae mysticism, wid strong beats and sequences, in a great hip-hop style, that truly, is still to be discovered!

Highlights go straight to tunes like: Starting From, Ancient, Homing Zone or All Out, for those looking for a more rootical approach; Yes Land, Exodus or Mawai, to get to know Higher Bound original Hip-Hop style, or Here On, Victory and Nomo, to see what their crossover fusion is all about!

Mainly, everything in 'Bless Go Roun' is musically groundbreaking, and perfect to Vaughn Benjamin expose is visions and understandings of modern world, Rastafari livity and Haille Sellasie I.
Dont miss out the title track Bless Go Roun, or the extraordinary acoustic Raining King to know what we mean!
All togheter dis is a musical experience that presents, at the same level that it searchs for, new musical boundaries, and bring out, once again, Vaugh 'Midnite' Benjamin exquisite talent!
